Any cosmetic imported for sale in India must be registered with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). Without an import registration, the product cannot clear customs or be sold.
You need an authorised agent
Foreign manufacturers cannot register directly. You must appoint an authorised agent in India — either your subsidiary, an importer holding a licence, or a nominated representative — who becomes responsible for the registration.
