GST registration gives your business a unique 15-digit GSTIN and the legal right to collect GST and claim input tax credit. Registering on time avoids penalties and unlocks smoother B2B trade.
Who Must Register?
- Businesses with aggregate turnover above ₹40 lakh for goods (₹20 lakh for services); ₹20 lakh / ₹10 lakh in special-category states.
- Anyone making inter-state supplies of goods, regardless of turnover.
- E-commerce sellers and operators.
- Casual taxable persons and non-resident taxable persons.

- Aadhaar of the proprietor/partners/directors.
- Proof of business registration or incorporation certificate.
- Address proof of the principal place of business.
- Bank account details and a cancelled cheque.
- Digital Signature Certificate (for companies and LLPs).
The Registration Process
- Step 1: File Part A of REG-01 on the GST portal with PAN, mobile, and email.
- Step 2: Complete Part B with business details and upload documents.
- Step 3: Complete Aadhaar authentication to speed up approval.
- Step 4: The officer verifies; the GSTIN is usually issued within 3–7 working days.
After Registration
Once registered, you must file periodic returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) even for nil activity, display your GSTIN at your premises, and issue GST-compliant invoices. Missing returns blocks your e-way bills and input credit.
Statura handles GST registration and monthly return filing end to end, so you stay compliant without the paperwork.
