Who needs LMPC registration
Any importer of pre-packaged commodities and any manufacturer/packer preparing goods for retail sale. Registration must be in place before goods are imported or sold.

- Name and address of the manufacturer/importer/packer
- Country of origin (for imports)
- Common/generic name of the commodity
- Net quantity in standard units
- Month and year of import/manufacture
- Maximum Retail Price (MRP), inclusive of all taxes
- Consumer care details (name, phone, email)
Formatting rules
Declarations must meet minimum font sizes and placement rules. Under-declaration or wrong MRP formatting is a frequent cause of penalties and detention.
