Documents Required for Company Registration in India: Complete Checklist
To register a company in India you need: PAN and Aadhaar of every director/shareholder, a recent address proof (utility bill or bank statement, under 2 months old), passport-size photographs, proof of the registered office address, and a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for each director. Foreign nationals substitute an apostilled passport and overseas address proof.
Documents for Indian directors/shareholders

- Declaration of directors (Form DIR-2 consent to act as director)
- Declaration by the subscribers and first directors (Form INC-9, auto-generated for most cases)
Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
Every proposed director needs a Class 3 DSC to sign the SPICe+ incorporation form electronically. It is issued after video KYC and typically takes 1–2 working days.
