DSC Renewal: Process, Timeline & Avoiding Downtime
A Digital Signature Certificate is valid for a fixed term (typically 1–3 years). Letting it expire can stall your GST, MCA, and tax filings — so renew before it lapses.
When to Renew
Start the renewal a few weeks before expiry. You cannot "extend" an expired DSC — it must be reissued, which risks downtime during deadlines.
The Process
- Choose your validity period (longer terms cost less per year).
- Complete fresh KYC/video verification.
- Download the renewed certificate onto your token.
Avoid Downtime
Track expiry dates for every signatory and renew ahead of statutory filing seasons.
Statura handles DSC renewals and issues new Class 3 DSCs without disrupting your filings.
